The Indore bench of Madhya Pradesh high court on Friday quashed a criminal proceedings of fraud at Nagda sessions court after it observed that the case was of a civil nature and the criminal proceeding was launched with the ‘oblique motive to exert pressure’ on the petitioner.
The order was passed by Justice Virendra Singh who made strong observations on the maintainability of the case under sections regarding fraud and cheating.
